SIENA:Young Adult Programme (18 -35).  “Become who you are meant to be and set the world on fire”.  St. Catherine of Siena

If you are at a cross-roads in your life; just finished school, at or just finished third level education, working, unemployed, on a gap year, not satisfied with your career choice or looking for something more … then the SIENA programme is for you.  SIENA is designed to help young adults (18-35) to discover who they are meant to be and what path in life God may be calling them to.  Whether marriage or single life, priesthood or diaconate, religious or consecrated life, God has a plan for each one of us that will help us to thrive and not just survive.  You are invited to set aside six Saturday afternoons 2pm to 6:30pm between November 2017 and May 2018 to take part in the programme.  Participants are encouraged to consider making a commitment to the whole programme. Mary and Mercy: Experience the Time of Mercy! Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC will speak in the North West region on Monday October 9th, Basilica of Our Lady of Knock Shrine, Co. Mayo at 7:00pm. Fr. Michael is an American author and regular speaker on EWTN and is touring Ireland in preparation for the 33 Day Consecration to Mary. The night will include two talks: Personal Testimony: Now is the time for Mercy & St. Maximilian Kolbe: Mary’s instrument of Mercy and will end with benediction by Achbishop Neary. Free materials will be given out on the night. Please come along & join us. All are most welcome.

Interested in becoming a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Elphin?: The Diocese of Elphin is now accepting applications from married and single men who may feel called to ministry as Permanent Deacons. The four year part-time training programme will begin in Autumn 2017. This weekend we celebrate Day for Life.  As we face the immediate challenge to life here in Ireland, we are drawn to pray, to reflect and to offer practical and emotional support to those in need.  We pray especially for those who have lost a child and for those who are concerned about their pregnancy.  For prayers and resources see and

 Roscommon Solstice Choir: Roscommon Solstice Choir doesn’t usually fund-raise for itself, but in order to help defray some of the costs of hall hire, insurance, bus hire, photocopying etc. normally borne by members, a concert will be held in Kilronan Castle at 8 pm on Sunday 01 October 2017. Special guest is Charlie McGettigan. Please come out and support our efforts to keep doing what we love to do – over €150,000 raised for charity in four years!
