THANK YOU: Fr. Michael and Deacon Martin Reidy would like to sincerely thank all who participated and attended Martin’s Diaconate Ordination on Sunday last. We were extremely grateful to the Parish Pastoral Council, those who prepared the Church, Readers, Servers, Choir, the Stewards both inside and outside the Church, all who helped out in the hall Saturday & Sunday and everyone who made and donated such a wonderful variety of food.

Towards Peace: In 2009, at the request of survivors of abuse by Church personnel in Ireland, the Irish Bishops and the Religious and Missionary congregations established Toward Peace to provide a safe supportive space, where people who have been affected by abuse in a Church context can be accompanied as they seek their own experience of spiritual peace, one step at a time. ELDER PERSONS PARTY: in association with An Gardai Siochana Community policing unit in Athlone. Will take place in the Radisson Blu Hotel Athlone on Sunday 28th January 2018 from 4pm—8pm. Tickets available at Athlone Garda Station from members of the Community policing unit. Ask for Andrew, Brian, Mary, Aileen or Clare. Tickets €8.00 per person. All welcome.

Western Alzheimer’s Charity Walk – St Stephen’s Day

The Roscommon Voluntary Committee of Western Alzheimers will hold their annual charity walk on St. Stephen’s Day starting from Hannon’s Hotel, Athlone Road at 12 noon.  This will be a real family event with a choice of routes (5K or 10K).  Entry is €10 per person or €20 for a family.  Refreshments in Hannon’s Hotel and lots of entertainment on the day. We hope you can join us.

Marie Corcoran Memorial Trust Fund: The Committee would like to thank everyone that supported our event in Ned’s Bar in Knockcroghery on Saturday 9th Dec in Aid of Roscommon Palliative Care Services Which was a huge success monies raised on the night was €3,203

THANK YOU: To our 3rd and 6th class children for bringing up the gifts and reading during todays (Sunday) mass. A big thanks also to the Children’s Choir under the direction of Orlagh Tiernan & Michael Moylette and all the children’s Parents for their help and support.

COMMUNION CLASS CHILDREN: Thank you to all the children for attending the ‘Do this in Memory’ mass on Thursday last. We ask our Parishioners to pray for the children as they prepare for their special day.

COUNTY ROSCOMMON DISABILITY SUPPORT GROUP: Would like to thank you for you co-operation during their recent Church Gate Collection. The amount collected here in Ballybay was €429.24

We would also like to thank anyone who has helped out in anyway and supported the Parish throughout the year especially during my Silver Jubilee Celebrations and the Ordination of Martin Reidy to the Permanent Diaconate.
