MEDJUGORJE: Wednesday morning, Fr. Michael will be travelling to Medjugorje. If anyone would like any petitions brought out, please drop them to the Parochial House by Tuesday evening (27th June).

MASSES NEXT WEEK: There will be no masses in the Church of the Risen Christ next Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (28th, 29th, 30th June) or the following Monday to Thursday (3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th July) as Fr. Michael will be in Medjugorje. If you need a Priest while Fr. Michael is away, please contact Fr. Hugh on 090 6488143.

PARISH OFFICE: Will be closed at 12.30pm on Tuesday 27th June.

HOUSE CALLS: Fr. Michael will be calling to the sick and housebound on Monday 26th June.

LAND OF SAINTS AND SCHOLARS: The story of the Catholic Church in Ireland

A copy will be available to view in the sacristy from this weekend

A new book aiming for children of senior primary age. This is a 64 page history of our Church in graphic form. The illustrated narratives will help readers to develop a sense of identity with our Church and its history. Land of Saints & Scholars presents the Church in all its richness and diversity. It also uncovers the extraordinary strength and resilience of our Church in terms that will be easily understood and impossible to forget. The book also features the Diocese of Elphin and it will appeal to young and old alike. The book will not be available in bookshops.

The collection for the “Commissions of the Episcopal Conference” – 9th July: The Catholic Church in Ireland provides a range of pastoral services which are organised nationally and funded by a levy on each Diocese in accordance with its population. These include the Catholic Education Service, pastoral services to emigrants and to prisoners overseas and to immigrants, the bishops drugs initiative, the engagement of the bishops conference healthcare, justice and peace, and communications as well as the National Board for Safeguarding Children. The envelope for this collection is in your family box and your generous support for these initiatives will be greatly appreciated

Lough Derg Pilgrimages: You may begin your Three Day Pilgrimage on any day from 1st June until 13th August. No need to book. ELPHIN DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES: Annual Church Gate Collection in aid of the assisted pilgrims section will be taking place this weekend the 24th & 25th July. This year 60 assisted pilgrims from the diocese will travel to Lourdes as part of the annual pilgrimage and money collected at the church gates will be used towards the costs of this section of the pilgrimage.

CONGRATULATIONS: To the 6th Class Students from the Parish on their Graduation from Primary School. Thank you to all the Teachers and Parents / Guardians who guided them along the way. We wish them well as they begin their new journey into Secondary School.
