KILTOOM PARISH OFFICE: Will be closed on Monday 4th September

 2018 MASS DIARY: The 2018 Mass Diary is now open. Any Anniversary Masses for 2018 can now be booked by ringing Kiltoom Parish Office on 090 64 89105 or e-mailing Lorraine at kiltoomoffice@gmail.com.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: From January 1st 2018, due to the large volume of requests for weekend masses, the first weekend of each month will be a Shared Mass. This is in keeping with the common practice of other Parishes.

SUNDAY MASSES: Please note, 8.30am Mass on Sundays will return on Sunday 1st October.

SICK CALLS: Fr. Michael will be calling to the sick and housebound on Tuesday 5th September

PAINTING OF CHURCH: It is intended to repaint the Church in the near future, this is to be completed by mid-November. The Church is showing signs of wear and tear after 8 years. Painting contractors interested in tendering for the work, should contact either Michael O’Brien (087 2521422) or Tom Shine (087 2721140) for a schedule of the scope of the works.

 Handel’s Messiah – Knock Shrine: Saturday 18th November at 7.30pm sees the return of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to present Handel’s ‘iconic’ Messiah at Knock Basilica. Conducted by Proinnsías Ó Duinn with soloists, Soprano Claudia Boyle, Alto Anne Marie Gibbons, Tenor Julian Hubbard and Bass Christopher Cull together with Our Lady’s Choral Society, Cór Mhaigh Eo and Ballina Chamber Choir.  Presented by Liz Nolan, RTE lyric fm.  Tickets available now at www.knockmessiah.com and at the Witness to Hope office Knock Shrine and Downtown Records Castlebar & Westport.

Grandparents Association – Knock: Grandparents National Annual Pilgrimage September 10th 2017, Knock Shrine 2.30p.m. Everybody welcome to honour & thank  Grandparents alive & dead for all they have done for us down through the ages. Chief Celebrant Archbishop Eamon Martin –  Ballina School Choir – Dana sings ‘Our Lady of Knock’.

The four year part-time training programme will begin in Autumn 2017. KILTOOM KNIT & NATTER CLUB: Crochet & Knitting. Re opening Monday 4th September from 11.00am – 12.30pm in the Parish Hall. New members always welcome, just pop in.

Roscommon Stroke Support Group: Roscommon Stroke Support Group is up and running.  The Group have exercise therapy, support/ information sessions and tea and a chat.   It runs every Tuesday from 12 noon to 2pm in Hannon’s Hotel, Athlone Road, Roscommon.  If you or a friend had a stroke and would like to meet people in a similar situation in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere you are welcome to join the Group.  If you are interested, you should contact Martina Greene, Stroke Support Group, Coordinator, Irish Heart Foundation  Tel 087 6057696 or email her at mgreene@irishheart.ie

ADULT CHOIR: Cór Comáin, a new choir based in Roscommon Town are currently recruiting for new members. It is not necessary to have prior choir experience or be able to read music.
